For more than 35 years,Mary Anne Tolliverhas been supporting individuals and families in their residential goals at the St. Louis Arc. Mary Anne supports individuals of various ages (30 years +) identify and achieve their vision of a good life. In addition to supporting someone in finding a good fit in their next home, the Arc supports family members and caregivers in navigating the process.
Finding the Right Fit
The transition to a new home can take time to ensure the right fit for an individual. The first thing I ask is what supports does an individual need, what are their interests, and what is their vision of a good life. With that information I am able to identify the options available at the St. Louis Arc, says Mary Anne. Before individuals move into a new home, visits are scheduled to ensure a good fit for both the person moving in as well as existing roommates.
