As a new year begins, many people look for opportunities to try new things, expand their networks, or develop new skills. The St. Louis Arc has many programs available to support people with disabilities and their families, and several still have openings.

Families and Individuals

ARCH In-home Residential Support
St. Louis Arcs ARCH program (Assistance with Residential¯Care in the Home) reimburses primary caregivers at a standard rate for short-term relief services they receive either in their own home, within the community, or in the home of a care provider. ¯The ARCH program is accepting applications from families living in St. Louis County or St. Louis City. We are also accepting applications for Respite care providers.

Family Navigation¯
The Arcs various¯navigators¯help individuals and families navigate the many systems and resources that are available.¯The navigators goal is to provide people¯with much needed support in discovering the information they need, connecting with peers, and obtaining resources and services that will benefit the family.

Free Family Workshops
Community members, volunteers, and St. Louis Arc staff lend their professional expertise to provide information and resources in a variety of workshops. Workshops are offered virtually and are free to attend. Registration is required for most online workshops.

Transition Age

Launch
Launch is for individuals ages 16-30, who are interested in beginning to plan for their future.This program offers one-on-one coaching sessions and group classes to identify and work toward an individuals goals. Through Launch, individuals will enhance their interpersonal and self-management skills in order to achieve goals in the areas of relationship development, education, employment, and independent living. Openings available for residents in St. Louis City, St. Charles County and Jefferson County. There is currently a waitlist for St. Louis County.

NextED
This class-based program is for young adults, age 18-30, who are ready to take the next step toward living independently. This innovative program utilizes personalized goals, flexible supports, resource development, hands-on learning, video modeling, and virtual reality to work toward self-directed living. Through skill-building experiences, emerging adults will explore how to best use the relationships, connections, and resources in their lives to be successful in a more independent setting.

Adults

Life Tech¯
Life Tech is a new program that supports people with IDD as they identify, acquire, and learn how to use technology to help in their day-to-day life. This personalized, goal-oriented approach pairs assistive technology solutions with individual technology needs.

Residential
The St. Louis Arc supports people with IDD as they live independently from their families. Connect supports individuals with limited support as they live independently in the community. The Arcs community-based homes and Dautel Circle homes offer 24-hour support. All programs encourage social and community engagement.

Aging With Empowerment (AWE)
AWE empowers older adults with disabilities to live the active life of their choosing. With three convenient locations in Maplewood, Creve Coeur, and North County, AWE offers a wide range of opportunities to explore interests and build relationships. Most importantly, staff ensure the supports needed to be successful are in place. The goal of the AWE program is to provide participants engagement opportunities which can add structure and purpose to their day.

Arc United Basketball – Athletes of All Abilities
Arc United is an inclusive coed basketball league. Whether you are new to the game or have played your whole life, the league is looking for players who enjoy sports , and competition, and who have a passion for people.
