Podcasts, webinars, online meetings, Zoom scavenger hunts, virtual game nights. The current offering of programs from the St. Louis Arc not only brings about a new vocabulary but is also bringing a new or renewed interest in the agencys events. Whether you are new to the Arc or are just having trouble maintaining your new virtual calendar, here are a few helpful resources to keep you in the loop.
Electronic Newsletters
The Arcalendar is a weekly, electronic calendar that shares which events, workshops, and classes are happening in the upcoming week. While Arc events are prioritized, community events of interest to the disability community and time sensitive community partner information is also shared.
The Family Insight is sent the first Wednesday of every month, in lieu of the Arcalendar. Information on Arc events, legislativeissues affecting your family, community events that are geared towards people with disabilities, and articles written by Arc staff and participants are included.
Emails are sent once per week on Wednesday morning. Please be aware if you have previously unsubscribed from any of the Constant Contact emails, you will need to contact Brianne Smith to re-subscribe. For first time subscribers, you may visit our website to join our e-mailing list.
Calendar of Events
Many free events are listed on the Agencys program calendar. From family workshops to support groups, information and RSVP links are available to view by date on this calendar.
The Arcs Facebook page is a great place to stay up-to-date on Arc happenings. Tune in for a Facebook Live event to chat with Arc staff or you can watch videos at a time convenient for your family.
However you and your family choose to stay informed, Arc staff members are working hard to keep everyone engaged during the pandemic. Chat with us on Facebook Live, join us for a Zoom dance break, or connect with other individuals and families in a Meetup.
