Being a nurse is a difficult, but rewarding job. It is fast-paced, demanding, with a lot of moving parts. Being able to help individuals maintain their health and safety is what makes the challenging job worth it. At the St. Louis Arc, our amazing nursing staff works as a team to ensure the health and safety of individuals with disabilities.

The Arcs residential nurses provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes.Arc nurses do more than just provide medical oversight, they build relationships with both the people they support and Arc staff to prolong life expectancy and improve quality of life.

Join the Team

Nurses at Dautel Circle and the Arcs community homes understand different aspects of nursing, excel at problem solving, and work well with a variety of team members. We welcome nurses to join our team and make a difference in the lives of the people we support.

The Arc prides itself on three core values: Collaboration, Respect, and Empowerment. These values make being a nurse at the Arc rewarding and unique.

Collaboration

At Dautel Circle, the teamwork among the nursing team is unmatched. The nursing team not only collaborates with each other but with the entire residential team. Nurses communicate with the direct support staff, management team, and the office staff to ensure the health and happiness of the people we support is front and center.

Respect

The people who live in the homes at Dautel Circle are treated with respect by all Arc staff. A connection is built between individuals supported by the Arc and Arc staff. That connection allows nurses to know people on a much deeper level so they understand the care that is needed and can identify what may be needed next.

Empowerment

Being able to see direct results of the work being done is empowering. The ultimate reward for the Arc nurses is being able to see prolonged life.
