There was no shortage of fun, food or friends at Creve Coeur Park as the crowd of more than 500 enjoyed great barbeque, several activities and visiting with friends at the annual Arc in the Park picnic October 6th.
Special thanks to volunteer barbeque-master John Meixner and his hard-working crew who once again prepared delicious fare and to Arc staffers Jenny Shult and Meghan Stewart who created activities and décor with the “Let’s Fly a Kite” theme.
Additional entertainment was provided by Magician Larry Minth, Sir Uppy of St. Louis Clowns of America and Norton the North Star penguin, Irv Sprous. Cold drinks and root beer floats were essential to keep picnic goers cool. Beverage and treat sponsors were Fitz’s Root Beer, North Star Ice Cream, Motion Industries and Heather & Bob Cook. Other donors included the Down Syndrome Association, New Melle Knights of Columbus, Tiemann Industrial Supply Immaculate Heart Marion Council and Virginia & Frances Randolph.
Special thanks go out to all the event volunteers, including groups from Sigma Delta, UMSL, and the Junior League of St. Louis.
